(K)OLLAPS, the art & music project designed the exclusive T-shirt in collaboration with MERZBOW, a legendary Japanese noise musician.
This special limited edition of 60 is designed in celebration of MODE 10 “Art of Noise”.
A musical instrument composed of metal film case and contact microphone built by MERZBOW himself is incorporated into print design for this exclusive t-shirt.
McGinley, a New Jersey native and the youngest child of eight, set the art scene alight in 1999 with his handmade photo-book from his first public show, “The Kids Are Alright,” a brilliant portrayal of his own set of friends in New York at that particular time. He quickly emerged as the voice of a generation and worked on high-profile projects for several fashion brands and other commercial outfits. His work, which documented the likes of Snow and Dan Colen, was provocative and daring, and according to the men’s lifestyle magazine GQ, McGinley became “the most important photographer in America.”
Ryan McGinley: Body Loud!” at Tokyo Opera City Gallery, is a set piece of mainly nude portraits of McGinley’s very hip friends, including some Japan-based subjects such as actress and model Rila Fukushima and blogger and photographer Cailin Hill Araki. The exhibition kicks off with portraits of a naive looking and tattooed Snow and a drug-addled, graffitied Dan Colen. Both images are striking and provoke the audience with their unabashed honesty.
The “Yearbook” series, a wall of nude portraits, is so tedious, however, it’s questionable why it’s included in the show. The scale is immense but the result is insipid.

sound artist, musician, noisician, performer, composer, improviser or whatever you like to call it (depends largely on your taste). . . . is the moniker of Nikola Mounoud. Riding many musical waves as anywone do, I focus my work on the exploration of both analog and digital feedback (larsen) using a computer and a mixer. I designed for my-self a proper instrument that allows me to work as precisely as I need and want, of course well hewn from the coel face of improvisation !
Unlike chords, ind and skins of acoustic sound, feedback is an unstoppable implacable sonic evolution. My work is meant to be played and heard live as well as shared freely over the internet.
I am also the half of the unclassifiable Overload Collapse with Nicolas J. Fasnacht and used to be a member of the trio The MERJ experience (2004-2007) with UrbanAddictive and VERJ=. I use to be volun-teer for the LUFF – Lausanne Underground Film&Music Festi-val, being part of the organisation crew as music co-progra-mmer, sound technician and other little things since 2004.
I also held the coordination of the LUFF does TOKYO
(2012) and LUFF does HONG KONG (2016).

The 4th edition of the KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival will be held from April 23–May 22 2016, presenting 15 innovative exhibitions around the theme “Circle of Life” all shown in iconic Kyoto venues with original scenography.
The exhibitions & events create opportunities, bringing people together of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. Now recognized as one of the world’s leading photography events, KYOTOGRAPHIE has attracted some 157,000 visitors from across Japan and overseas in three editions since 2013.
Renowned British design collective Tomato Project, co-founded by various artists, including veteran electronic group Underworld, is holding a retrospective of its creative work at the Parco Gallery D in Shibuya. “O” showcases the past quarter decade of the collective’s corporate, private and conceptual commissions, as well as its album covers, graphics and audio-visuals for Underworld. This anniversary exhibition will spread beyond the gallery space and to surrounding buildings and streets, turning the center of Shibuya into a giant interactive art installation.
